2018 KIA Summer Games Weekend

June 8th - 10th: Camp Nesbit, Sidnaw MI

Pre-registration (reduced price) Deadline is June 1st.

Online (credit-card) registration will end on June 1st.  (Paper registration only after 6/1/2018)

What you need (EVERYTHING)

  • Cloths for the weekend
  • Workout clothes, swimming gear
  • Hat, Sun screen, Running shoes & Rain gear
  • Snacks/Refreshments for the weekend
  • Toiletries, tooth brush & tooth paste, etc.
  • Bath towels, soap, shampoo
  • Insect spray
  • Spending money
  • Medicine, as needed; Cold/Flu meds, Aspirin, etc.
  • Sleeping bag, Blankets, pillows
  • Extra sheet/blanket to hang in cabin for added privacy
  • Tent, if you choose to camp outside the cabins
  • Flash lights
KIA will Supply
  • Breakfast, lunch & dinner for Friday, Saturday & Sunday breakfast, along with refreshment: Water, Juice, Lemonade, Tea & Coffee
  • KIA will have firs aid kits for any issue that may arise

Pricing

  • Complete weekend (before 6/1/18):  $79.00/person
  • Complete weekend (after 6/1/18):    $89.00/person (register/pay in person)
  • High ropes course is an extra fee, paid to the park.
  • Optional: Van share & gas:               $65.00/person

Thursday, June 7th

  • Arrive 4:00 p.m.
  • Settle in
  • Dinner 8:00 p.m. (Early Bird Dinner)

Friday, June 8th

  • Breakfast 7:30 - 8:30 a.m.
  • High Ropes Course Adventure (additional fee)
  • Canoeing
  • Falls Tour
  • Archery
  • Lunch at Camp 1:00 p.m,
  • Belt Testing 3:00 - 5:00 p.m.
  • Back out for adventure
  • Workout 6:00 p.m. w/ Grand Master Madry

Saturday, June 24th

  • 5 mile run - EARLY
  • Breakfast 7:30 - 8:30 a.m.
  • Workout 9:00 - 10:30 a.m.
  • Kick-a-thon Kick off Championship 10:45 - 11:00 a.m.
  • Lunch 12:00 - 1:00 p.m.
  • Afternoon Canoeing, Archery Obstacle, Scavenger, Capture the Flag
  • Summer Games 2:30 - 5:30 p.m.
  • Dinner 7:30 pm

Sunday, June 27th

  • Breakfast 6:00 a.m.
  • Head home 7:00 a.m.
  • Arrive back around 7:00 p.m., Ohio KI Group

 Getting to Camp Nesbit

  • Take your favorite route to the Mackinac Bridge
  • I-23 from Maumee to Ann Arbor.
  • Continue to I-75 in Flint and on to the bridge (440 mi from Cleveland)
  • Cross the Mackinac Bridge (230 miles left to Camp Nesbit)
    • 5th largest suspension bridge in the world.
    • Total length: 5 miles
    • 200 feet above the water
    • Lake Michigan on your left
    • Lake Huron on the right
    • Welcome to the U.P.!
  • Take US 2 West towards Escanaba (65 miles)
    • Enjoy the north coast of Lake Michigan
  • Turn right on M 77 (17 miles)
  • Turn left on M 28 (35 miles) to Munising.
    • Turn left in Munising to stay on M 28 for another 38 miles.
    • Prove your mettle by stopping to jump in Lake Superior!!
  • Turn right at US 41 / M 28 intersection with stop light. (5 miles to roundabout).
  • West at roundabout on UX 41 / M 28 (55 miles)
  • Turn left at US 141 / M 28 flashing light.  Stay on M 28 past US 141 turnoff.
    • 13 miles to Sidnaw 
  • Turn left on South Sidnaw Rd (5.9 miles) to Forest Rd. 2400
  • Turn left (east) 1.7 miles to Camp Nesbit entrance on the right.
    • Follow road to parking lot.
    • Get out and STRETCH!!!
