KI Summer Points Tournament

July 13, 2014 7:54 PM | James Stuber (Administrator)

On Saturday July 12,2014  about 35 KI competitors gathered at the Cleveland KI to compete in the third KI Points tournament of  2014. The competition throughout the day was spirited and competitive. The Mini Peewee and the Peewee Division were strong and they performed well. Alison Douglas and Alisa Douglas were the youngest competitors of the day . They both did well. The Brown belt division  saw Father and Son square off. Yes dad still has it . Mr. Bob Hosmer beat out his son James 3-2 in their match ,but James took second  in our three way tie for 2nd place and Bob finished fourth after the tie breakers. I think the win was the prize Saturday and not the fourth place finish. Ricardo Dejesus keeps on winning .Ricardo was the KI Points Champion last year and is still staying competitive 1st in Forms and 2nd in Sparring. Regan Onda took 1st in Brown belt forms while Zachary Voelker from Twinsburg KI took a 2nd in Brown belt  forms. Zachary also finished 1st in advanced Sparring. The next Ki Points Tournament is September 13th at the Munson KI.

Good job to all the competitors. Sportsmanship was shown throughout the day. The KIA instructors are proud of all of you. See you in September.
