48th KIA National Weekend

Update The KI National weekend will be held on November 10-11th at the American Croatian Hall in Eastlake Ohio. Friday Night will host Black Belt Testing 7pm-9pm Saturday morning will host the KI National Championship Tournament at 10:00a.m. The KI Awards Presentation and banquet will follow later that evening. Keep checking the Web site for further updates

    KIA Fall Points Tournament (CANCELED)

    Saturday, September 25, 2021

    The September KI Points rescheduled for Saturday, September 25th has been CANCELED.

    The November 6,tournament scheduled at the American Croatian Hall in Eastlake will take the place of the September tournament.

    The tournament is less than 2 weeks from now and the Cleveland KI just resumed classes today. We do not want to rush and try to squeeze this event in just to have it.

    We apologize for the changes but we are working hard to keep everyone safe and healthy and also give the students and instructors affected by the shutdown of the Cleveland KI a chance to get back in the dojo and train and be prepared for the tournament as well as for the upcoming September General Belt testing and Stripe testing.

    We hope to see you in November for the tournament  Black Belt Demo and the awards presentation at the American Croatian Hall November 6th is the date.

    Registration ends on Wednesday Oct. 20th.

    No spectators will be allowed.

    Of course, parents are welcome to come and watch their children participate in the seminar.

    Marcial Tirada is a composite of different Kali styles taught primarily in the Pangasinan region of the Philippines. The student will learn single knife fighting and empty hand fighting. In the art of Kali, the student will learn weaponry first.

    This type of training develops awareness, sensitivity, coordination and quick reflex action. Empty hand Kali combines the arts of boxing, low line kicks, locks, traps and take downs, along with knee and elbow strikes
